Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

Impossible to say - I would chose the higher fat/protein of #2, but my guess from this little "poll" is that it's a low-quality food with fillers and crappy ingredients, and the first, lower fat/protein food is one with better ingredients. I like a higher fat/protein food with ingredients I want to feed my dogs.

Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

Was going to say the same thing. Tell me the ingredients and where they come from - human grade? natural? holistic?

Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

Protein sources are as important (if not more so) than the protein levels. Leather and chicken feet are protein sources, but certainly they do not have the same protein values as high grade cut of meat. Cooking temps and duration also should be different for the proteins and the carbs (meats and vegetables)so as not to ruin the nutritional values by overcooking.

Re: Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

This is a high quality holistic dog food.
Main protein source is Lamb Meal.
Carb is White Rice and Brown Rice.

#2

Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

Brown Rice is good, don't like the white rice since that turns into sugar.

Re: Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

GUESS WHAT?!
#2 is a Puppy Food...
It has better ingredients in it for an adult than the adult formula does!
It's California Natural Lamb Meal and Rice Puppy :)

Re: POLL: Based on these two product (gauranteed analysis), Which would you feed your dog??

I was going to guess that the first food was Calif. Natural from the 21/11.

I like this food too but I don't feel 21% is enough protein for a growing dog.

I recommended the puppy formula to my buyers of last litter if for some reason their pup had problems on the food I feed.

My mothers senior girls are on the Lamb and rice adult and have been great on it for years.

My old girl did great on the chicken formula as well, until I had to switch to a lower phosphorous food.
