I can't remember if this has been a topic recently, but I will ask anyway. One of my girls came into season one month early....she normally cycles every 6 months. Two weeks ago today I noticed blood. Last Tuesday we did a progesterone and she was 1.4ng. I just had another one done yesterday and she is baseline -.54ng. Our vet suggested she was having a split heat. She is not swelling, there has been no bloody discharge since Tuesday. Everyone else doggy thinks she smells good and when they try to mount her she tells them off. So could she go into season again for another 6 months or can I expect her to come in again in a month or so? Thoughts?

I had one that did a split 9 months ago and she didn't come back in until 3 months after the first cycle, don't know if the second one was normal as I had already bred another girl so didn't want to do two.
