Whelping box liners

What does everyone use to line their whelping boxes? We currently use pieces of carpet cut to fit the box, but we're looking for something a bit easier to clean that still gives the pups some traction. TIA!

Re: Whelping box liners

Hi Melissa,
I just went an visited a litter and they use this, at Revival, easy to clean, keeps the floor of the box dry, and just pop it in the wash. It is thin, so you may want to insulate the bottom of the box, or add "hills and valleys" with towels etc...

Re: Re: Whelping box liners

I am using this now and just love this liner. It washes and dries quickly. But, I still put a piece of sterilon on top of it. It is not soft enough for the mother to be comfortable lying on this alone.

Re: Whelping box liners

I use carpet until 3-4 weeks and change it daily and then I use shavings over a perfectly fit rubber floor mat

Re: Whelping box liners

I like the Drymate liners as well. Very easy to use and wash. I also use fleece over the top for comfort for mom and pups.
