All this recent chat on pregnant girls and progesterones and pregnancy/pulpation got me thinking...
When a bitch is bred, and say does in fact get pregnant, when might a resorption occur? can it occur at any part of the pregnancy, or if it's going to happen, it will happen by a particular time in the pregnancy?? can you say when get past Day (?), you are fairly safe??
I can only speak from my current experience that my girl on day 31 was reabsorbing on ultrasound and the 6 fetuses were weak and small, took her a week later and the specialist told us we were in the clear that the rest of the fetuses looked viable and should survive. Other than that I am far from an expert and I am sure someone else will give some insight!
Tina, not to make your head spin but really you are never out of the woods...LOL. I worry from birth to eight weeks, as they go down the driveway and then on and off until I get a note YEARS later that the four footed family member has passed on. :)

Too late Kim, my head is already spinning! 1st heat cycle, first day of heat when it's time to breed, progesterone, shipment, inseminations, and waiting! LOL. haven't even begun to think about the 8 weeks they are in the whelping box, and then the years that follow in new homes!!!
Never out of the woods with autoimmune diseases such as puppy strangles and the like, some able to occur after pups leave. Breeding is not for the faint of heart.
