Need A Really Good Vet

Hi All,

I need to see if anyone knows of a really good vet in the Milwaukee, WI area.

My sister-in-law has a dog from my first litter. He just turned 5y/o in May. He's always been a healthy boy. Up until earlier in the year. It all started around the beginning of the food recall. He had all the symptoms on the list. She said no the vet says he has Addisons. I put it on here for info on Addisons. Thank you to those that replied. But there really isn't much about Addisons. The vet said with a pill a day he could live a normal life.
I think she needs a new vet and second opinion.
I live in Alaska and that's why I'm looking for help on here for a good vet for her.
It sounds like he's pretty sick again. He's not eating and sleeps alot now.
If we could get him better before it's too late I'd bring him up here by me.
BTW, she's a heavy smoker and her basement has a ton of mold in it. That sure doesn't help any.
Any advice and/or help would be greatly appreciated.

Donna

Re: Need A Really Good Vet

Donna,
I use Dr. Harris at Harris Pet Hospital in Paddock
Lake, Wisconsin. Several other Lab breeders use
him as well. He is at Hwy. 50 west almost to Hwy.
83. He would be about a 45 minute drive depending
on where she is in Milwaukee. I drive about an
hour and ten minutes but he is worth it.

My other vet, is in Woodstock, Il. and their
internist, Dr. Carmichael is excellent as well.
Great at diagnosing. That would be further for
her. I've gone there for 25 years.

Dr. Harris' # is 262-843-4251
Dr. Carmichael # 815-338-0132

Hope this helps.
