Well, my 2 male pups were born on Monday, and although she was fed well, and all appear normal, both pups were small. The smallest male was 8 ounces, and the other male was 11 ounces. I have another litter that is 2 weeks old, and there are 9 pups in that litter that were all 1 pound to 1 pound 3 ounces at birth. So my question is this...what is a reasonable amount of weight for these guys to gain daily? Their bellys are so full, and I can't imagine them eating much more at a time. However, the smallest one is now up to 9-5/8 oz., and the bigger one is 14 oz. They both appear happy and content.

I will tell you that my last litter(4 at 8-10oz. and one at 16 oz.) was by far the smallest weight wise ever. However, they ended up having great bone and gained steadily at a rate of a few ounces a day. They were happy, healthy little buggers.
