Two questions:

1. What's the best critter prevention med for dogs living near Austin, Texas? They've been on Heartgard...should I switch to something else?

2. Does anyone have a good vet they'd recommend? I am actually in Lakeway (about 20 minutes from Austin proper).

When you say "critter prevention" what exactly are you talking about?

If you are talking about internal parisites, Interceptor gets more "critters" than Heartguard. It will get all intestinal worms except tapeworms.

You will still need to manage other infections such as giardia or coccicidia. And definitely use something for fleas and ticks!
