My girl is on the second half of a split heat. She first came in in April and went out just as quickly. She is now back in season and when I had her progesterone done on Monday she was at 1.7 nanograms. Today she is at .7 nanograms.
I am a little paranoid because she came in and out so quickly in April. What would you all suggest?

The vet thinks we should retest in four days, but I am a little nervous about missing her again.

Did you get a copy of the lab's report? Reason, I ask... one time a receptionist read back the results for me, and she didn't read them correctly... I alwas ask my vet clinic to fax me a copy of the report after they call me to tell me the results, and that's how I caught her error.

Have you been doing a cytology also when you take her for the progesterone test?

If you've got the money do it every other day.

I agree--if you can afford it, do it every other day---no more than 3 days at max
