Just thought I'd ask. Someone thought he was overweight, clearly, they don't know labs.
He gets portioned food, and hours of vigorous exercise along a bike, swimming, etc a day...

What do you think? Also, critiques on conformation wanted, good & bad.

No expert here but your boy does look like he has a very nice front, topline. Never could view the video link though. What is his age ?

It's intersting to see a little different take on your boy in all 3 photos. I like the 023 photo the best. Were all of these photos taken of your boy about the same age ?

In 010 and 011, he looks to have a super nice length of neck and less compact in body. In the 023 photo which I like the best, he looks well balanced.

The only things my novice eyes could pick out on your boy that could use improving are his lower thigh and turn of stifle and a tad low tail set/croupe. Otherwise, he looks like a very nice boy !! It would be intersting to know his age though. Sometimes the croupe can change when a dog or bitch is fully mature and depending on your lines.

I like the angles of his front and over all balance in 023 !! You do a good job in stacking him and making him look his best

Not in my opinion, he looks like a good weight in the first picture.

I'm gonig out on a limb. Please don't kill me. But I do like my labs trim. It's not "considered proper" but as a sporting breed I do belive that they shouldn't carry extra fat. I still go by what I learned as a vet tech. Feeling with your hands, the ribs should be felt with out having to "dig", but you shouldn't be alble to see them. And that can't be told from a picture. I know others disagree, and I sure that I've lost placements because my dogs aren't well padded, but as being "chubby" myself, I know how hard it is to carry the extra weight, and I won't do that to my dogs I think he is a lovely boy.

He is NOT overweight. The person who called him overweight doesn't know what they're talking about apparently unless the pictures aren't showing something (which I highly doubt, your video can't be viewed, rest of the pics are fine)

Thank you so much. I agree, he is at a good weight, 80 lbs.
Alot of those people didn't kniow what they were talking about I guess, when they said he was overwieght, I'm glad you disagree. :)

As for the critiques, thank you. I very much agree on hjis front, it is gorgeous, and same with the rear, it needs some work, he;s slightly too angulated on the croup which slopes a tad. Then he needs more angulation in the stifle area, but overall, I'm glad to see he's coming along as nicley as he is.
