Ok, so we bought one of those 12'diameter x 3' deep inflatable pools for the dogs to swim a little....it has a filter & everything...but we are looking for suggestions to keep algae at bay....would rather not use chlorine...but does anyone know what is best & safest for dogs? All idea welcome.
You won't have to worry about algae. All the water will leak out from the holes the dogs put in it, and will never get a chance to form algae. If you're lucky, the holes will be small enough that it will hold water while they get a bit of a swim. But, then you will need to refill it, so chlorine will not be necessary. How do I know this? Let's just say I am the voice of experience.
ouch...way to ruin the fun....we know there is a good chance of this...but swims will be individually done with a "life/pool guard" on duty in an effort to minimize the chances....also, nails have been cut & dremmeled... we can hope for a little fun, no?
