Letting a puppy go at 7 weeks

My many years and going with Labs., (sorry fellows)
stubborn men out here in the West....
(I'm in extreme hunting territory...field lines, mostly)who have read "Wolters' book on bird dog training want their puppies at 49 days, refuse to bend; they became instant experts.
No matter explanation of litter play during early weeks that assist to much regarding development mattered.
So...I've bent. Main reason, to prove show lines can
hunt as often these dudes questioned "looker's" had
enough brains to do well in field work. Insulting!
As time moved forward, what do you know....high praise came back, aces in the field 1st time out! Many owners in total astonishment their Labs I bred pointed and flushed before doing what the Labrador is known for...."retrieving".
Perhaps....Wolter's theory does have some application.
And sure...depends on owner, training, care, ya-da, ya da.
Double bonus....dispelling those with claim to have bred "pointing" Labradors, as many had looked to kennels with Labs with pointing ability "they developed". A major annoyance to me if one knows deep history of the Labrador.
A well bred Labrador can do anything you ask!
And of course, any placement...how, you, as breeder
read a potentical new owner, worthy or not!
