What is the forums opinion on showing a dog that some dopey vet tek shaved his leg to draw blood?
Will this matter to the judge and look bad or dq him?
I've always felt that if my dog didn't look his best, he was better off on my couch than at a show! I'd wait until his coat came back in that spot before bringing him out again.
The next time you take your dogs to the Vet simply request that they NOT shave the leg for a simple blood test. If they take the time to feel around for the vein it's not necessary to shave. If they can't feel a vein in the front leg there's a nice big honking vein in the rear. The only time we shave a leg is to place an IV catheter....
