I was in contact today with Dr. Hutchinson's Northview Animal Clinic in Ohio, hoping they could refer me to a specialist in my area. The only one they found, Bedford/Katonah, is one I prefer not to use. I live in Northern Westchester County, NY -- basicaly the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. Any recommendations of specialists or a good vet you've worked with would be most welcomed! TIA!

Good luck with your search. Dr. Hutchison is one of the best in the country. I routinely make the approximate three hour drive from my area to see him. I have also seen license plates from all over the country in the parking lot. One thing you could try is doing a google search for canine reproductive specialists in New England. I did this and found at least one place in Massachusetts that has a GP who has a special interest in repro.

Check with Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (rbvh.net) in Tinton Falls, NJ. It is the largest privately owned veterinary hospital in the country-- about 50 vets, all specialties. I believe Dr. Sarvas is the reproductive specialist.

She does collections from Stud dogs for freezing, as well as implants on Bitches,etc. My friend, who is a breeder, had a bitch that would not take either by AI or natural. She took the bitch to Ann and had her implanted and poof puppies!

What are you looking for? I am also looking for a person to answer questions on missed breedings. I live in Ulster County/Orange County N.Y. I've been in touch with Cornell about missed breedings. I have sent blood serum to Dr. Hutchison. The Vet I use, used the wrong tube and the progesterone levels came back lower then they should have. What a waste of time, money and a missed breeding. A woman I know is a Vet Tech and she is helping me with progesterone, AI's and natural breedings. Hopefully we'll get it right the next breeding.
