I have given my girls Joint Supplement during pregnancies but never with MSM in it. Now I have been trying this new joint supplement with MSM in it but I want to know if anyone knows for sure if MSM is harmful to the babies inside her ??

They tell pregnant women NOT to take anything
that is not prescribed by your doctor when
you are pregnant. I would imagine you would
have the same concerns about your puppies?

And if it is not for a life threatning
disorder in which you would not want your
girl to get pregnant anyway, why even go
their?

Vitamins are fine IMO, but other things
may possible be harmful to mom and pups.
Just let nature take it's course, without
suppliments others recommend because it
worked for them!

Not much info out there. Not enough studies have been done on MSM

Personally, I wouldn't give it. I don't supplement my pregnant girls with anything, (take them off all their vitamins) especially during the first 4 crucial weeks. Vit. A and Fish Oil(contains Vit. A) are not safe either from what I have read.

What does your vet say?

My breeder is also unsure about the MSM so I don't think it is worth it. I wish there were more info out there on MSM and it's safety for pregnent dams.

MOM HAS 5-14 PUPPIES IN THERE AND NEEDS
SUPLIMENTS. THEY TAKE A LOT LOT OUT OF HER.
YOU DO WANT THOSE BABIES TO BE HEALTHY WHEN
THEY ARE BORN.

I GIVE EXTRA THINGS IN THE FOOD LIKE YOGART,
COTTAGE CHEESE, LEAN MEATS AND CHICKEN.
ALSO THE LAST 2 WEEKS THEY ARE ON PUPPY
FOOD.
