Do you think the yellow dog on the Waltons named Reckless was a purebred Lab?

Don't remember him being a Labrador. Here is what I found on google:

The original Reckless (owned by Hal Driscoll and Bill Koehler/trained by Genny Kerns) was a redbone hound named Prince.
