December shows

There seems to be so many specialities now..sometimes 2 within traveling distance on at the same time. Has any club ever considered holding a show during December? Any supported enteries on the east coast that can be suggested?

Re: December shows

There is the Boston Cluster at the Bayside Expo Center from December 6th-9th.

Re: Re: December shows

They usually have breeder judges there as well. Saturday's judge is Lisa Weiss-Nolecheck, and sunday is Jill I.

Yes, i agree, they should have a specialty in Dec!!

Re: December shows

Thank you so much for the help. I'll put that one on my calendar.

Re: Re: December shows

Winnebago LRC holds a supported entry in Chicago with 3 more days of usually majors.

2nd week of December ?? or somewhere around there.

Re: Re: Re: December shows

The reasons I have always been told there are few shows in December in the Northeast is 1) the handlers want time off around the holidays, 2) giving the dogs a rest, as opposed to their being shown year round, 3) the weather in the Northeast during December is not always the greatest for getting around. All these reasons sounded plausable to me when I was told them, so you can take your pick.
