Well, as the saying goes, If you hear hoofbeats, don't think zebras. After consulting with my vet, and a day and a half of washing his nose with warm water and applying quadritop ointment twice daily, most of the funky skin is gone. His nose is looking normal once again.

Good news Kathy...I won't throw in the towel just yet. I am applying Bag Balm and will see how it works out.

I hope that does it for you. I had a nine month old pup with the same issue...vaseline/vit E "fixed" it for a while, but the rough skin would come back and then she lost pigment as well. Good luck!

Did you ever get a diagnosis of the problem? Just curious.
