Many of you will remember that three weeks ago Jeff DePorter had a stroke while getting ready to attend the Huron River LRC specialty. While he is starting to get stronger and show some progression, he is still in the stroke center at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He can't speak and is paralyzed on his right side.
Jeff's wife, Theresa, posts updates on Jeff almost daily on a special website at www.carepages.com. The carename page is JeffDePorter (no spaces) and you will get notices when the page is updated.
Jeff and Theresa have two young children, Justin and Claire, and are long-time members of the HRLRC.
Many people from the Labrador community have asked how they can help and if they could send money.
A bank account has been set up to receive monetary donations to help the DePorter family with expenses that are not covered by insurance. The account is being managed by Jeff's office(a CPA firm). The account is with Charter One Bank and set up in Theresa's name, to make it easy for her to access the funds.
