Re: Article about Wisconsin bills

Thank you Gina! Wow, too bad they didn't have something like this on all products bought by consumers!!!

Re: Article about Wisconsin bills

Two more interesting articles.
BTW, last night was pretty much a waste of time since the legislators didn't show and we had to listen to a 45 min. lecture about why puppy mills are bad -- as someone pointed out to the lecturer she was "preaching to the choir" -- none of the breeders there want to see puppy mills continued, we just don't want to be lumped in with them where laws are concerned. The meeting was also the first story on the local news at 10 last night but the fact that breeders were there was ignored just like in the articles below.

I also want to mention there was a woman who tried to get business cards from several of us -- she said she liked purebred dogs and liked to know where to send people. Maybe she was telling the truth but I thought it was odd and just said I didn't have any cards then warned my fellow breeder friends who also did not give her their cards. I have been told the AR group is clipping newspaper ads for puppies out of the paper and then will turn in all of the advertisers to the Ag Dept. for licensing checks if this passes and into the state revenue service either way since they are trying to get all breeders to go out of business. So a warning, be careful if you advertise somewhere and who you give your info to.
