false pregnancy

My bitch came into heat in late July and was diagnosed with a false pregnancy in October. (She was never bred.) Now it's late November and she still looks like she has a litter of pups! All of her hair around her nipples has fallen out, she's saggy, and she has a tiny bit of milk. Her milk production is so minimal that I don't worry about mastitis, but I do worry about her hormones going wild for so long. At what point should she get over this? Will it affect her next heat cycle?

She plays a lot with her one year old daughter. Could their interaction stimulate a hormonal reaction? She was a fantastic first time mom last year -- probably the best I've ever had.
