I know there was a recent thread on hot spots, But, my boy does not have broken skin or even redness YET. It does "feel" hot to touch however. He is showing all the signs that one might be around the corner in this particular spot on his back. My question-do you ever pretreat with anything? If so, what? He is also trying to scratch/rub/roll to get at the area. I thought about giving him some benadryl but thought I would put it out to the forum...?
