Most of you have probably seen the Petco treats that have been recalled because they contained peanut paste or peanut butter from the company that is having a salmonella problem.

I feed SportMix peanut biscuits, so I emailed them to see if they were included in the recall. Here is the reply:

Ground roasted peanuts, not peanut butter or paste are used in our biscuits and are tested for salmonella prior to use. We do not purchase any ingredients from Peanut Corporation of America for any of our products. SPORTMIX dog biscuit treats are safe for consumption.
