ADOA on the deduction

ADOA Will NOT SUPPORT HR3501 - THE PET OWNERS $3,500 TAX BREAK?

We do not support a tax relief that would move our pets away from being
personal property to guardian status! Pet are and always have been
personal, private property and ADOA wants them to stay that way. Our
pets are our personal property that we have for companionship and
enjoyment...WE ARE NOT THEIR GUARDIANS, WE ARE THEIR OWNERS!

Very few people would even benefit from this tax relief and the
definition of "qualified animal" is very poorly written.

In addition, the IRS would want some type of identifier for your pet,
maybe microchip numbers for each pet??? Sound familiar, way to close to
having a child with a social security number and now the government know
you have pets, what kind, and how many! They will also know how much
veterinary care you get for your pets.

I don't know about you, but I do not want the federal government in any
more of my business than I have to!!

We will not support the type of bill, that HSUS, PeTa and ASPCA want to
further their agendas of pet guardianship, that we have spent the last
few years fighting!!
