I was recently flabbergasted to find that not all otherwise responsible dog breeders, let alone pet owners, believe in scooping as often as possible. Yes, there are many reasons for urinary tract infections. However, letting a female dog squat low in poop soup, especially in a restricted potty area that is not clean, is asking for trouble. I realize I am preaching to the choir, but I had to say that. The person to whom this is directed is not on this forum, but this information may help those dealing with recurrent UTIs in girl dogs in other homes. Except how do you even ask someone how clean their yard is? I am just shaking my head after seeing the problem in the snow!
