I have a girl who started heat cycle on 29th of January. I've been progesterone testing her and she's been progressing. Started out at .2 then 1.0 then 2.0. We were going to test her tomorrow again. Because I was waiting on results on Friday and didn't hear anything and she was day 14 of her cycle and she was flagging, we put her with the male and they tied. She was quite willing and he was very interested.
Today I checked her for color to see if it was chaning from the brighter red. Its changed and is a brownish pink and smells a little. It also seemed a bit thicker than normal.
Can they get a pyo during a heat cycle??
Do I take her to an ER vet today or could it wait till my normal repro vet tomorrow morning right away?
Her temp is at 100.3
