crooked tooth

I have a bitch that just turned 2. She has full dentition and a scissor bite, but has one crooked tooth in the front. Will this prevent me from showing her? Thoughts please, no flames.

Re: crooked tooth

A crooked tooth should not discourage you from showing her in the breed ring.

Re: crooked tooth

Our stud dog has one crooked front tooth from pulling on the chain link fence as a puppy... As we all know labs tend to do... We didn't want to show him and now that he is older he has been winning. I just tell the truth to the judges. Most of the time they don't even catch it. I know others that have a little crooked tooth and they are finishing. So no worries. Don't let it deture you. Just be honest with the judge :)

Re: crooked tooth

I have a youngster bitch that has a crooked inscissor which she broke when she was a puppy playing with rocks, and she's been shown and she's done very well at shows. We always have a veterinary certificate with us that states that this is from accident and not the way she was born. You can see that she has a normal scissor bite but one upper tooth is crooked or more less broken in half.
