Probably not as common in our breed as in some tiny breeds, adverse events or vaccine reactions are said to be under reported by the animal hospital association. They have included a page for reporting these, the last page of the document. Much of the rest of the document, the shelter situation, doesn't apply except maybe to big kennels with a constantly changing population or boarders mixed with owned dogs. The part on core vaccines and bordatella bear reading. Note that vaccines do not necessarily totally prevent disease or even shedding, but do decrease the signs in vaccinated dogs. For example, a vaccinated dog who gets parvo may not even show any clinical signs, but is still shedding it, if I understand this correctly. I'll take that over bloody diarrhea and death!
