ok - so I went over all her blood work and urine results again and thought to push the vet to check a urine culture. She never pees in the house or anything, is top bitch in the house so pees on everyone else's pee all the time.

Culture came back with a subclinical case of E coli. So she has been on Baytril for the past 2.5 weeks and has put all her weight back on plus a couple of pounds! wheew - and I didn't change her feeding amount at all. Just treated with antibiotics.

Great news! Goes to show that when you trust your gut, you can figure things out!! Good going!
