I am looking for slip style show leads with "bling" for a Christmas present. I am not planning any shows between now and Christmas so vendor shopping is not an option.
Very pretty but no way would those hold a Labrador!

I know this lady personally and she does good work
From the link above:
All leads have a core with a break strength of at 175 pounds. Not only are these leads built to specifications determined by engineering consultants, but they've been tested in our own trials. Despite trying to get our strongest dogs to snap them, we only managed to break a clip (so we've upgraded those) but we've never managed to break a lead. See Pagan's test
page for details!

Dear Santa....This lady is on facebook...Trina Powell Trina will make anything you want, slip or loop. I use the same lead on my Border Terriers and the Labradors. They have the core in the center for strength and in the price range you are looking for.

This is her website but the newer leads are on facebook page. Hope it helps.
"Leashes by Colleen". She offers custom cord and bead colors. These are slip leads, they're gorgeous, and plenty strong to use with a Lab. I have two myself and know several other well known breeders who use them.

We do not have beads in our leashes but Alvalley in our web page www.alvalley.com have a great Black Friday Special this weekend.
Visit us and take advantage of this great offer.
I am happy to help you with that. I make fully beaded show leads with a break strength of a 175 lbs. My website is www.beadedshowleads.com. Most of the leads you'll see there are a clip variety, however I do make custom order slip leads. They're gorgeous, strong and well priced. Please let me know if I can help you.

They are asking for Colleen, a labrador breeder. I'm not looking for someone else thank you anyway.
She's done my blingy slip leads and her work is beautiful. Shipping is fast. I couldn't be happier! They hold up very well, even with my largest boy.
Absolutely! They were tested and retested on a 65lb solid muscle Australian Shepard attached to his harness to intensify the pull factor all done while his frisbee was thrown past him. He literally lifted our "test dummy" also known as my friend off the ground and dragged her. We had a couple of clips break before we found solid brass reliable ones. You are looking for a slip lead so this factor is eliminated as well.
I know I'm a little late responding. Busy. The slips have the same break strength as the clips. I would be concerned to put a dog that pulls that hard on a slip however... Mine are generally over $50 but if it is for an event or charity I am often able to work something out. If you're interested in more details, feel free to contact me. Thanks! Brett@BrettDeutsch.com
Sally Barton of Coralwood Pointers handmakes braided leather kangaroo leads, all custom work. I have seen them first hand, they are lovely and will hold a trained dog for sure, they are leather! If you have a 85lb teenbopper who is 80lbs, well this might dig into your hand a bit due to the width. These do slide.
