How long on a pup do you wait before you decide a pre-molar's not there? I have a young male about a year, and while I think I see where a pre-molar might erupt, it hasn't. I am not planning on xraying or doing a vet visit for this purposely, but was curious if they could show up at this late an age. This is my FIRST potential missing tooth. I am not too worried about it, I was just curious since I never noticed them coming in this late with any of my other dogs.
Check it out with your vet. I have heard of having the gum cut to help the tooth erupt. Of course you need an x-ray to verify there is a tooth there. I think this has been brought up before so try searching the forum.
