The US Sportsman's Association (headqtrs Columbus Ohio) has a list of "dirty dozen" animal rights and radical environmental organizations that are trying to end hunting, trapping, and fishing. The list includes the familiar triumvirate of HSUS, PeTA, and ASPCA along with nine others that are not so well known for their tactics. Most of these groups use lawsuits against the government to push their agenda and then recoup their legal expenses through two government programs that reimburse groups that sue gov't agencies. Even if they lose the case, in the long run, they have gained because of the publicity generated by the suit and the resulting donations that pour in.
