Echo Doppler in California

Wondering where breeders in California get their echo heart checks done? Have a breeding girl for a service organization that they'd like to get done. Thanks in advance!

Re: Echo Doppler in California

Depending on where they are in California, they can see a ACVIM cardiologist in their office or find an echo clinic. You can find an ACVIM caridiologist on the ACVIM website.

or find one here

Or search for a clinic here

Re: Echo Doppler in California

William Herndon, DVM at California Veterinary Specialists in Carlsbad is awesome! Here is a little bio:

"William Herndon, DVM
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology)

Following graduation from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University, Dr. Herndon completed internship training at the Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pa. He finished residency training in cardiology at the Veterinary Referral Center, Little Falls, N.J., and the Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pa. His areas of interest include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, therapy of heart failure, diastolic dysfunction, and electrophysiology.

Dr. Herndon is a board certified cardiologist and provides full service cardiovascular diagnostics and therapeutics-including pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, and coil occlusion for patent ductus arteriosus. He is a featured consultant in cardiology on the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).

Dr. Herndon is conducting clinical research to develop blood tests for dogs and cats that may aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. Before joining California Veterinary Specialists, he was in a large specialty practice in the Washington D.C. area."

I believe he trained/worked with Dr. Meg Sleeper.
