I just had an eye exam on my dog and a Uveal cyst was found. The AVCO Doc said it was nothing to worry about but she may not get a pass from OFA. This is a first for me. This dog is a result of several generations that I am very familiar with and we have never run into this before.

This is a single cyst in the anterior chamber with no vision impairment.

Anyone else run into this? Did you get an OFA number?

Just curious I don't want to waste extra money to send into OFA if they are not going to give her a number.

Answered my own question after I went through OFA's website. Apparently this is a Breeder's Option Code D1.

Although I am still curious if anyone else has experienced this as it was a first for me.

My AVCO Doc said it was no biggie and painless, yet offered to drain it.
