As a general rule, I seem to see my boys not able to hold the right amount of coat after age 5-6. I don't think its thyroid...so do you think its hormones? Do you recommend a supplement to help? Anyone else ever notice this? Seems strange that I see it in several different lines at the same age...so it got me wondering...

Kelp? Salmon Oil? or something else?

I have noticed the opposite - boys holding onto more coat (and not shedding out as much) the older they get.

Even if you don't think it is thyroid - you should check to rule that out. If it turns out that they are low thyroid, not treating it can lead to many other problems as they age.

Food? Have you recently changed his food? Sometimes when you do this they don't come back into the best coat as they were on the previous food. Just a thought.

My boys, and girls, seems to get more coat as they age.
