Puppy turning ONE foot out.

11 month old puppy male that has 1 foot turning out. Owner says it is not 'easty westy', just one foot. States that the judge over the weekend even noticed it. Anyone seen this before or know what would cause it? Owner wants to have xrays down of elbows and shoulders.

Re: Puppy turning ONE foot out.

My boy did this until about 13 or 14 months old. I gave 1000 mg vitamin C daily. He's now 20 months and is square and showing well. It's up to them what they want to put into pup, but I'd try the Vitamin C and wait a month or so.

Re: Puppy turning ONE foot out.

Not unusual for only one foot to turn out and could just be his structure. Does not mean anything is wrong with his elbows. It could affect his front movement though. As he matures and his chest drops and fills out it could turn the foot back in more.

Re: Puppy turning ONE foot out.

I have a 8 month old girl who I noticed had one foot turning out at 8 weeks. I'm not concerned at this point in time. I had a male who was easty/westy and at two years old finally came together.
