Excited peeing

I have one line which we are in the 4th generation with. For each litter, there are always one or two which excited piddle - especially when out in public such as with taking the CGC, being petted at a store, etc. They always seem to outgrow it by a year old. The rest of the genetics are clean.

Have any of you worked excited peeing out of a young puppy? If so, how?

Re: Excited peeing

When I had this problem, I took my puppy and a roll of paper towels to the nearest Pet Super Market. I spoke to shoppers as they came in and told them what I was trying to do and asked them to greet and pet my puppy. If she wet on the floor, I ignored it , cleaned it up and went on. If she did not pee, I praised and rewarded her. It took about 2 weeks, but she was "cured".
