I am worried sisters, there is no National Day of Prayer Ceremony at the Whitehouse. While I don't stand on ceremony, it still adds emphasis that we are no longer a Christian Nation. Many wanted change, and this is ONE of the changes.

Now, more than ever we need to pray for President Obama and his cabinet and all leaders of our Nation. We are comanded to submit to the authorities as they are appointed by God. And we need to pray for them.

Amen! And no matter how we feel about them or about how they are handling things, it is God's will to be done, and His judgement to be performed.

At my son's school, each class picks a local "authority" (police chief, fire chief, state senator, mayor, councilman, etc.), and they pray for that individual all year. Yesterday, they had the Day of Prayer assembly, and almost all of those people showed up. We're a VERY small school (372, PreK-12), but these people still felt it was important to be there. It gives me hope that not everyone in government service has forgotten God. I'm just thankful that God hasn't forgotten them.
