I joined the WRAC in February 1969, went on to Queen Elizabeth barracks Aldershot for Clerk's Training (in Deepcut), then to Garat's Hay for Analyst Training before being posted to 13 Sigs in Germany. Would love to hear from folk from back then, especially "Funnel".

Ladies, I am trying to find out about a former WRAC girl called Jackie Kowalski (not too sure about the surname, though it was Polish sounding) who served with 8 Inf. Brigade, Ebbrington Barracks, Londonderry 1976-78. I was resident battalion there, which was 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards. Our block in the camp was next to the WRAC block so we had some good laughs. Jackie was unofficial member of 1 Platoon and sometimes accompanied us on patrols. One of her mates was Julie Tucker. After 30 years I have been in touch with some of the boys and we were wondering what became of Jackie. We left in 1978 and Jackie was still at Ebbrington Barracks. Thanks for your help.
Regards ex-guardsman Bruce Edwards.

I have recently attended the WRAC Dinner Club for the first time. Although I didn't meet anyone who I had served with it didn't stop me enjoying the week-end, and making new friends. Had a super time and am looking forward to the next one. I suggest any WRAC association member out there who can't wait for the 3yrly Grand Reunion to have a good time, should join the Dinner club. To Sue Wilson and Jacko of Hereford/Worcester branch (I think) who I met, passed your message onto Jane Thompson (ex 68sqn driver) and she said she remembers you both very well. See you all next year!!!
