Charles set for Victoria Cross documentary
LONDON, May 25 (UPI) --
Britain's Prince Charles will be the host of a BBC 5 documentary series about the Victoria Cross, the country's highest award for bravery. Some of the 12 surviving recipients of the Victoria Cross, commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1856, will be interviewed for the series that kicks off in November, the BBC reported Thursday. The Prince of Wales is president of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association. The Victoria Cross has been awarded to 1,355 British soldiers.
