Thoughts on starting progesterone testing on day seven? Is it too late or will we be okay?

You should be okay.

You are always ok to progesterone test. I would simply be prepared to be in "panic mode" if your girl is one of those who peak early. I would suggest that you find someone who can do the test on site versus sending it out. That way you don't waste 24 hours.

I have never done a progesterone test before day 7. My first is usually on day 7 or 8.

Breeder ~ I found out the hard way a few years ago that I not only have a girl that peaks at day 14-16 but another that peaks at day 7-8. Now if only my girls could all get on the same schedule!

Susan, you can have mine who ovulates at day 25 if you like.

So far my girls all ovulate day 8 day 9.
I usually have started to progestrone test on day 5 st see where I am then again on day 7.

Think I must have more history with my lines but I never start before day 9. Know others do breed early.
Mine seem to be day 16 to 22. Have had very good luck with breeding like this. They just don't reach that 5.0 until later.
