NJ Bill: more info on A2039 from NAIA Trust.

from the NAIA website:
Some of the activities targeted by this bill include perfectly legitimate American Kennel Club events such as earthdog trials and hunt tests. The definition of "sexual contact" needs to be refined to ensure that normal animal husbandry practices and conformation events will not be negatively impacted.

below is a link where you can easily take action. Apparently the bill will be heard tomorrow.

TODAY! URGENT!! Re: NJ Bill: more info on A2039 from NAIA Trust.

Protect your dog hobbies! If you ever show or travel in NJ,this could hurt you. This bill is in the Ag Committee this afternoon! (according to post received from Patti Strand). Call if you can or use the link Sue had NOW! This bill is so vague you could lose the dogs you co-own AND be jailed or fined $10K. I would be guilty of animal cruelty for tethering a dog to my lawn chair while I lunch in that chair with colleagues at a show or picnic, for the dog will probably be on a martingale (a choke) and definitely would not be on a 15 ft lead, for longer than 6 ft is illegal at parks and most shows NJ.
