Has anyone here used the heartworm med called Trifexis?
I use Sentinal with my dogs.Sentinal does not let the fleas reproduce but does not kill them.
Trifexis is for the prevention of heartworm disease but also kills fleas, hookworms, roundworms and whipworms.
Thought I would like to hear some comments before I switch. Thanks!

The product in Trifexis that kills fleas works very well. Unfortunately, the small print in the product info states that caution should be used in breeding bitches and also that safety in breeding males has not been determined. I've not seen any reactions in my patients that are taking Trifexis or Comfortis, but I DO NOT recommend it to any of my clients that intend to breed their dogs. Do your own research and make up your own mind, but I don't intend to use it on my own animals that are in my breeding program.
