What are the requirements to become a judge for sweepstakes? Is there a test or something you have to do to qualify? I'd love to do it :)
No requirement other than a club who thinks your opinion matters to other breeders, so wants you to judge their show. Perhaps if you were involved in a club and helped out with the show, judges selection, etc.., you'd already know the answer?
I found this online: http://www.ehow.com/how_2190120_become-akc-dog-show-judge.html Basically, to become a REAL judge you have to steward and judge matches (I bet Sweeps could count towards that as they are not sanctioned events). I think that most folks that are doing the Matches and Sweeps are doing it only in preparation for becoming a real judge.
