Thank you to Dr. Kathy for posting this. It is the most amazing thing to happen to Gerrie and me. We never imagined we would have a dog like Hildi, but we do. Hildi was the only girl in her litter for Gerrie to choose from. Two of her littermates are titled in field events. Buzz did an awesome job producing Hildi and the others for us, so we need to thank Dr Kathy and Buzz for sharing him with us.
If you want to meet Hildi, she will be with Team Mines and Gerrie at the Potomac this year, vying for another Hunting Bitch win. She won the class last year, making all of us very proud.
Hildi finished her AKC CH in six weekends with three majors. She finished her Senior title in five for five. When it was time for Master, she finished in seven tries. She barely got a chance to show in UKC because she finished her CH in five shows and then she was back in the field. She finished her Grand with BOB and BOS quicker than a blink.
Hildi has had two litters of puppies. Her first is by Ch Liddle Leaping Leo. (thank you Abby and Greg). We have two puppies from that litter with hunting and obedience titles. Her second litter is still a bunch of nebbishes, having been born only last September. One puppy showed in Syracuse for her first time and won her puppy class. Time will tell what Ch Danbridge Indiana Jones, WC and Hildi have produced, but what a terrific start (thank you Marilyn).
Now Hildi is going to enjoy being on Team Mines for a while. Gerrie and I will enjoy whatever ride Hildi and Kathy choose to take us on. Thank you Kathy Mines for your competitive spirit and constant attention to detail.
Thank you to everyone for your nice comments about Hildi. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but for today we are certainly grinning from ear to ear.
