My girl had a tumor removed from the vulva-vaginal area, and i do not want her to chew out the stitches.
previously, we had another female who had a vaginal prolaps surgery repair, and she chewed the staples & stitches out, and had to be stitched up twice. she had to wear the e-collar until the stitches & stapels were removed.
I want to prevant anything like that from happening again, and i want a better more comfortable collar that will keep her from reaching that area.
can you please tell me how the kong inflatable collar works compared to original e-collar
thank you

It's a totally different concept and appears it would suit your needs. If I needed an E-collar, I would try this.
The KONG Cloud™ Collar is soft, comfortable, and it doesn’t interfere with a dog’s peripheral vision or their ability to eat and drink. It’s great for dogs or cats.
Comfortable to wear while recovering from surgery
Tough fabric will not rip or tear
Machine washable
Will not mark or scratch furniture
would she have to wear a collar with these types of e-collars?
our regular collars are choke collars or no collars.
why type of collar is best. the cone i am using now does not require a collar, it clips into these notches. so my girl is not wearing a collar, except when we go outside, and i take off the cone, and stay with her.
The inflatable Kong Cloud would work to keep her from her hind end. It does not work for keeping them from their front feet and legs. Their hind legs can also scratch their ears and head with the Kong Cloud.
You may be able to pick up the Cloud locally. I could not find the other one in any stores and ordered one. I have them both clean and packed away "just in case."
While you wait for collar to come you might try a pair of mens briefs. Yes, cut out for tail and safety pen it to make it tight around her hips/waist line. I have done this with male and neuter. They can't lick. Good luck. Don't laugh, it worked for me twice. I hate those collars.
