I've been noticing that a handful of breeders enforce the use of NU-Vet on their puppy buyers or their health guarantee is no good. I don't understand this policy myself. I've used Nu-Vet a couple times over the years and didn't notice any difference in the health of my puppies and adult dogs of all ages. It did give some of my dogs mushy stools.

The other complaint I have is the lady who runs the NuVet company calls me to this day and leaves voice mails for me to buy her product.

Furthermore, when breeders insist their families buy NuVet for their puppies for the first year of life or else they won't warrantee the puppy, I find this suspicious...a way to get out of their obligation should something go genetically wrong with their pups they sell. Families call me up asking why breeders force their buyers to buy NuVet instead off buying quality kibble with all the nutrients in it to begin with.

It is all about the Benjamins. I even catalog the breeders that use this as money making breeders.
The owner of the company uses this technique to push her product into the puppy buyers. There is no reason to use that product. No serious and knowledgeable breeder would use it.

I think you alluded to the fact that maybe the kibble isn't up to par. But I don't even find that.

I don't understand it either. I don't supplement my puppies...my own and I don't require it. I can't imagine the supplements make THAT much of a difference.

I can see recommending them. But to hinge a guarantee on it seems fishy to me, even though I have friends that do it. Not my business though.

why do you care what others feed, supplement with or what is in their contact?

I am a very happy user of NuVet on my dogs for over 15 years, I do see a difference when I run out between orders. I truly feel it is a great product and have never seen a loose stool in any of my pack. I also offer it to my puppy buyers as preference over the supplements offered in the pet stores or vets offices. If they purchase it and use it my health guarantee will cover three years , so it is like an extended warranty.

They are more than welcome to buy it, stop buying it, whatever...it is completely up to them.

Yes I do get paid a certain percent for each purchase, how wonderful is that of the company! With all I put into my labs, it is nice for a company that sells a good product to give back to me.

over the past 30 years I have been involved in other animals showing and breeding and can never understand why is it that only in the dog world is it taboo to make any profit at all, and heaven forbid you make an extra dime to help cover the cost you are a puppy mill.....

My labs are healthy, happy and carry all clearances. I have a great family following and am proud of my lines.... yet because I like a product and share that info with my buyers and if they decide to purchase it I make a few bucks.....I am a puppy mill...

just from one search, these come up.

As much as many of you refuse to think like a business person, these
are simple you scratch my back, I'll scratch your marketing.

If the families are going to purchase supplies, food, meds, etc
why not help them find good products and get a kick back.
People we are talking 3-10% at the most, not get rich quick schemes.
