Bayer puts out Advantage and Advantix - topical for fleas (and the Advantix is also for ticks).

I usually use Frontline but can't seem to keep the fleas away with just the Frontline, so I have also used the Advantage which has the active ingredient Imidacloprid at 9 %

I don't like to use anything at all, but have to do something. (Have also used sprays and bombs)

My question is - does anyone ever use the Advantix that has 44 % Permethrin on any animal that may be bred in the future ? (even if they won't be bred in the next 6 months or even 12 months) ?

I used Advantix up until 1 month prior to breeding and resumed after the puppies were 10 weeks old. No known problems.

Advantix will kill cats, even by being close to dogs with it on.

not true....they dont have to lick it just laying next to will cause major health issues.

if you have cats in your house dont use Advantix
