Looked out at my play area yesterday to see three 5 month old males with my 13 month old girl trying to do more than the usual dominance climbing. So I went out to check and the 13 month old had just started her first heat,(I had checked her the day before and nada). I was amazed and shocked that one of the 5 month old males was ready to go, he had almost penetrated before I got out there! I was even more surprised the 13 month old was standing! YIKES! I got her out in time, but didn't expect this!
I haven't kept a male in years, so at what age are they physically capable and fertile????
