I have a puppy in my current litter who, at 2 weeks old, is robust, eating, eyes opened today, but is coughing as though she has a hairball (like a cat). It's not constant, but yet it has happened enough thoughout the day today to cause me to be nervous. She has a normal temperature. She has also occasionally opened her mouth with a big yawn-like motion, like she might be choking. The litter is sleeping on medi-pads, like the kind Whelpwise sells. There is a fleece underneath and it has occurred to me that maybe some lint could have gotten into her throat. Has anyone had this experience? Any ideas what might be causing this or what I should do? I will probably take her to the vet in the morning, but in the meantime, I'm hoping the wisdom of this group might help me avoid hovering over her all night long. Thanks in advance!
