It does vary as you mentioned. At this age I have already transitioned to RC Maxi puppy and feed around 4 cups. After a few days see how the pup looks and how firm the stool is and adjust as appropriate.

Getting ready to switch to Maxi Puppy, usually do it by about 12 weeks. Yesterday he ate 6 cups and this seems to be about his average. He is not fat at all and stool seems fine. This is a larger amount than normal for me! He does not seem to be engorging himself or overeating, which I usually start worrying about once they reach this age.
